Onsite Matrox® Flow-Promotion Lining Solutions for Mining Operations

Dotmar Engineering Plastics operates a specialist onsite lining installation team delivering complete supply‑and‑install solutions using Matrox® flowpromotion materials for mining operations across Australia—and, where required, internationally. By combining advanced Matrox material technology, in‑house machining and experienced field installation crews, Dotmar delivers proven solutions that materially improve equipment performance and reduce operating costs in harsh mining environments.

EndtoEnd Matrox Lining Capability

Every Matrox lining project begins with careful preparation well before the team arrives on site. Dotmar machinists’ machine and prepare Polystone® Matrox® sheets inhouse, tailoring each liner panel to suit the specific geometry and duty of the application. Matrox liners are cut, formed and finished at Dotmar facilities to ensure optimal fit, correct fixing alignment and efficient onsite installation.

Once prepared, the Matrox lining material is dispatched directly from Dotmar’s warehouse to the mine site, along with a fully equipped toolbox, fixtures and installation hardware. This controlled, end‑to‑end approach ensures that all Matrox components arrive together, ready for installation, minimising onsite delays and reducing operational risk.

Specialist Onsite Installation Across Australia

Dotmar’s experienced lining teams will fly and/or drive to site, depending on location and project scope, and operate in line with site safety systems and mining‑specific procedures. The team works closely with operations and maintenance personnel to coordinate installation windows, shutdowns and access requirements.

Matrox installations commonly include:

  • Excavator and loader bucket liners
  • Haul truck body liners
  • Chute and transfer point liners
  • Bins, hoppers and material flow surfaces

Each Matrox installation is engineered and installed to maximise abrasion resistance, enhance material flow and dramatically reduce carry‑back and hang‑ups—key drivers of downtime and maintenance cost in mining operations.

Matrox® Flow Promotion: Measurable Cost Savings

Matrox flow‑promotion liners are designed specifically to address the chronic issues associated with sticky, wet and high‑fine content materials. When applied correctly, Matrox significantly reduces blockages, build‑up and material adhesion, delivering substantial operating cost savings, including:

  • Reduced unplanned downtime caused by blockages and hang‑ups
  • Lower reliance on manual cleaning and water wash‑down
  • Extended service life of buckets, trucks and chutes
  • Improved payload consistency and throughput
  • Reduced maintenance labour and equipment wear

By improving flow efficiency and reducing stoppages, Matrox liners help mining operators achieve lower cost per tonne moved while improving safety and equipment availability.
